CERTIFIED AGING-IN-PLACE REMODELING SPECIALIST
If you're like most Americans over the age of 45, you'd prefer to stay in the comfort of your own home as you age, rather than be moved into an assisted living facility or with another family member. And no wonder! Your home is special to you and is full of cherished memories. It's where you've spent the happiest times of your life. Why would you want to leave it? Fortunately, we can help you or your loved one to stay where you belong with our barrier-free designs and aging-in-place home modifications. Best of all, the changes we make can lead to a better quality of life for the homeowner and their guests, provide peace-of-mind for the entire family, and are often much less expensive than a move to an assisted living facility.
Thanks to the Remodelor's Council of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), the Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist (CAPS) program was developed to assist homeowners in remodeling so that they can remain in the comfort and safety of their own home regardless of age or ability level. Keep in mind that CAPS design features are not only for the elderly or disabled, but they are also ideal for anyone looking to make their home more functional and accessible. At Michael's Homes, we have specially trained Certified Aging-in-Place Specialists on staff to better meet your remodeling needs. Contact us today to get started!

certified aging-in-place designation - caps
CAPS professionals are trained to the highest possible standard so that they can address any problem and answer any question you might have. The Certified Aging-in-Place graduates on staff at Michael's Homes have been taught techniques and strategies so that they can design and build aesthetically pleasing, barrier-free homes. The training covers more than just building details, and it goes deeper into the needs and lifestyle of the people we aim to serve. Our graduates have been trained in codes and standards, product ideas and resources, and common remodeling projects and expenditures to provide an aging-in-place solution that's perfect for you and your family. Every CAPS graduate makes a pledge to uphold a Code of Ethics and is required to maintain their designation by attending continuing education programs and participating in community service projects. We, at Michael's Homes, are honored to have achieved this designation; and we are excited to work with the members of our community to help them to stay in their family homes for as long as possible.
